President Rick introduced our speaker Richard Lawrence. Rick is a graduate of RPI Architecture & Design, joined The Rotary Club of Manchester in 1978. Has served as Chair of District 7890 for Clean Water and Sanitation project. His work has concentrated in Guatemala and is working with The Rotary Club of Antigua in Guatemala. They have completed five sustainable clean water and sanitation projects. Also working with a NGO Aldea for local involvement. Rick explained the power of Rotary’s Global Grants matching funds. Now that Polio Plus is very nearly finished, many are pushing for a global Rotary effort to supply clean water and good sanitation worldwide.
