Program:

Executive Director Stan Mingione started by thanking the club for our support through the years. We are active participants in the Meals on Wheels (MOW) program and most recently, provided funding for a new industrial refrigerator. From MOW to transportation services, the Estuary serves everyone. Life changes as we age and the Estuary Council (EC) is there to help with socialization, nutrition, and much more. MOW serves the 9 town area and there is a great need for this service. If you need transportation for a doctor visit, dialysis, hospital, etc., even if its outside the 9 town area, the EC is there to help. They nourish your body and mind with an excellent exercise facility. The offer exercise classes such as Yoga, weight training, Tai Chi, Zumba and more. Ballroom dancing and art classes are available. To find out more go to: www.ecsenior.org.
The Thrift Shop offers a lot and is staffed by volunteers. The facility can be rented for events. Built in 1981, the building is showing some age and will need improvements and repairs. They will probably be looking to upgrade much of the kitchen equipment.

Golf Tournament Report: Brent
We had our tournament last Thursday Oct. 18. Originally, it was supposed to be June 28 but was rained out. Despite a small field of players, we will net about $9500-$9700. Next year we'll shoot for August. This was the 25th year for the tournament which took the place of our annual Auction that Brent's father started. Its a lot less work and achieves better revenue for the Foundation which is the source of the club's giving.
