Business
Brian took over at this point and announced that we will be holding our elections.
With no objections the new officers for 2019-2020 are:

PRESIDENT: Brian DeBlasiis
PRESIDENT-ELECT: Gary McCauley
SECRETARY: John Giannini
TREASURER: Kathy Callinan
SERG-AT-ARMS: Joe Arcari

Other Business:
Brian talked about increasing attendance at meetings and pointed out that attendence is better when we have a speaker. Noting that the Student of the Month only takes half the meeting, he proposed having our business meeting following SOM. This will free up the first Wednesday (dedicated business meeting) for a meeting with a program.

Charlie Norz, Foundation Board Chair will be calling a FB meeting. We did not have a quorum last Wed.

New member coming, Stan from the Estuary will be joining the club.

Gary McCauley will be heading a committee with the intent of recruiting new members. Marty will help. The goal short term is to identify and recruit 10 people for membership. Brent suggested we give out our pamphlets when soliciting for fundraisers - its an opportunity to tell and show people what Rotary does and the pamphlets do that very well.

Brian talked about the clubs giving and would like to see more causes benefit. That would mean giving less to some of the recipients who we have supported. Scholarships to individual students may have to be decreased. This led to a discussion about fundraising and the acknowledgment that income is down. Between fundraisers and interest earned on our accounts, we have been able to fund scholarships and other programs without going into principal - the engine that produces interest and dividend income. Accordingly, budget decisions will have to be made. Bill O. suggested we go to a 2 year budget cycle to more accurately take into account income which can fluctuate year to year.

Bill O. spoke about the Chamber Connections meeting tomorrow evening which we are co-sponsoring with the Estuary. Its an opportunity to promote the club. Several club members will be there. Amber and Interact kids will be there as well. Bill will set up a table with information some taken from our website.

Pictures added are from the Chambers Connections meeting Thursday, March 7

Jan talked about the new school regionalization plan being proposed. Jan will take a meeting to discuss this from her perspective as OS Superintendant.
