Happy Bucks: Guest speakers, Eric Reisner's meeting with his first family of Warm the Children,upcoming Turkey Drive, Marty is very happy for the Boston Red Sox, Marty's daughter passed the Bar exam (congratulations!) and the Pumpkin Patch at the  OS Congreagtional Church.
Kathy Callinan updated the club on the annual Liberty Bank Foundation Turkey Drive which begins October 15th. Liberty Bank Foundation will donate 25 cents on every dollar collected up to  a total of $30,000.00. OS Roatry will receive funds donated plus the matching funds from Liberty Bank Foundation to be used to supply Thanksgiving food to familes in need within our community. OS Rotary will also contribute weekly happy bucks to the Turkey Drive which ends November 25th. Amber shared the OS Interact club will be selling turkey legs for $1.00 with all proceeds going to the Turkey Drive. Students who participate will earn points towards field day. 

Announcements:
Gerri welcomed our guest speakers(students of the month, English) and their guests. A warm welcome back to our Asst. Governor Jack Solomon and Keith W. and Bill M. who are back from vacation.She reminded us all of our 5th Wedensday evening dinner meeting, October 30th, and to please sign up with Glenn. Marty will also be educating us on our Website. Bill M. announced Dave LeMay of Essex Financial will be our guest speaker at next weeks meeting. He also reminded all who participate with Meals on Wheels to check the schedule for your scheduled week on the website. Gerri recieved a letter from Dr. Paul Spiekermann and stated the global grant for Dengue fever was approved. He also received our clubs donation and will keep us updated on the progress. 

Program :High School Students of the Month (English)
Westbrook: Principal Bob Hale introduced Caroline Labriola who is a very bright young individual. She currently teaches English 101 to the middle school students, she is a devoted catechism teacher and a member of SADD to name a few. Her plans next year are to major in Bio-Chemistry and play 3 division field hockey.
Lyme-Old Lyme: Principal Michelle Dean introduced Isabelle Foster who is bright, outgoing and was choosen based on acedemic and character. Jen Burke who is a teacher of Isabelle's stated in her 24 year career, Isabelle is in the top of her class and brilliant. She acts on leadership opportunites and is an accomplished high level leader. Iasbelle is actively involved in rowing and has been recognized for for many acedemic awards. Her passions include writing, art, math and science and she will be majoring in Biomedical Engineering.
Old Saybrook: Associate Principal Tara Winch introduced Jack Frysinger. Jack is a bright young man who has outstanding leadership abitlities. He is cuurently the Editor in Chief for the school newspaper the " Rambler".He is an Eagle Scout and is the first student to take Computor Science on-line which he will be majoring in.

Assistant Govenor, Jack Solomon swore in Jan Perruccio as our newest member. Bill McLaughlin is her sponsor. Welcome Jan!

The four way test was read. Jan was accepted as a member and Bill M did the pinning.
