ROTARY STUFF

Good morning, all. We had a great meeting on Wednesday with all the students of the month. It's always great to have Westbrook, Old Lyme and Old Saybrook students, parents and administrators at our meeting and breakfast was great as always, thanks to Stu, Marilyn and Kelly. Don't forget, no breakfast meeting 12/17, this Wednesday....

The Torchlight Parade was a great success. We made the hot chocolate in the Estuary kitchen.... fabulous state of the art equipment; it was such a pleasure. Thank you, Brent, Wellsy, Gerri, Heather, Rick and Marty's son who   did the heavy lifting for us phew! The alarm went off when I unlocked the         door so the police came never a dull moment. Thanks to everyone who picked up pastries and worked the tent including GiGi and Lilly, our star hot chocolate servers!! Also, thanks Glen for getting Canoli from Luigi's!!!! Yum!!!!!!

Our holiday dinner is this Wednesday, December 17th at Water's Edge Resort & Spa, 6:00 p.m. I've already sent in the meal choices, so if you wish to attend, I would have to know TODAY, thanks. We are going to have a Chinese Auction (grab bag) as well, so don't forget to bring a gift if you wish to participate in the fun.

Our Wine Tasting is February 6th and it's not too early to start getting your auction items, folks and remember to sell your tickets. Bob Antoniac even gets an auction item for us and he's in Florida!! Thanks, Bob. We changed it up a bit this year and we will be doing a program book, so please get out there to get sponsors for us. I'm attaching the information for you in this email.

We've had many Community Outreach requests and I'm happy to say that we've given away approximately $11,000 to those in need so far this year.  Hooray for Rotary!

Our Warm The Children shoppers are out there shopping at Wal-Mart

We are continuing to shop through the Holidays this year. Kathy and I heading this effort for Rotary and if you want to be a shopper, please contact Dick Campbell at:  rpc@sbcglobal.net.... any questions, kindly let us know.  I went to Old Lyme and collected a check from William Pitt Sotheby Real Estate for $500.00 a couple of weeks ago… very generous contribution and I even got a couple more shoppers!  Thank you for being a shopper... it’s so much fun to see the excited look on the children’s faces.

I wish you all happy holidays. See you at Water's Edge Wed

Take care and be well. g
