Dick Mason: Dick, VP for the startup club Haddam- Killingworth (HK) just had their fourth meeting with 15 people in attendance, 10 of whom were members. He thanked us for sponsoring them and said they were off to a good start! We are helping with filing fees and other startup costs. Total help from us was $1,000.
John Donnelly: An exchange student is coming and we need a club exchange officer to help oversee the student, getting him or her to activities, meetings, etc. Bill O'Shaughnessy volunteered. This application is a requirement which includes a background check and homeland security involvement.

Charlie Norz, Chairman of the club foundation board gave a summary of the state of our accounts. For the year 2014 we had a 5.2% increase on investment. We spent $31K which meets our target of 5% of the corpus. Our investment mix is conservative, 60% equity, 26% fixed income and 14% blended. Our total budget is $72K and that's met by the Wine Tasting, Golf Tournament and equity assets drawn from the foundation. Ed Pinn reminded everyone of the large gift from Ron Czepiel that doubled our foundation and enables us to do more. Our scholarships are transitioning to single payments. We still have a couple of the 4 year committed. We have $19,500 in new commitments and $4,500 of the old scholarships remaining.
