Program: Aldo Pantano, Connecticut Partnership for Long Term Care
    Also has been with this department for 8 years. This department offers an affordable insurance coverage to protect your assets should you need long term care due to a condition that necessitates nursing care for the rest of your life. 40% of people under 65 need LTC and 70% of people over 65 eventually need LTC. In Connecticut, the cost of living in a skilled facility is over $400/day. This program is all about protecting assets. If you have a $1,000,000 in assets and you purchase $200,000 in benefits, $800,000 is countable meaning you have to spend down to $200,000 in medical expense to qualify for Medicaid. The more protection you purchase, the more you keep. Assets are defined as anything that can be cashed out. Rules vary according to marriage status. Here is some contact information:
