Happy for the day, for the guests, many times. Sam happy rotator cuff surgery over on the mend, Bob A stint in hospital now out, Sam had him penciled in.  Paul Indorf feels young among the old timers, Rick Beck married 54 years,  Joan Michaud happy Bob A listens to Gail.

BUSINESS

Bill McL asked the “The Club” purchase 10 insulated bags for the “Meals on Wheels” program. Bags cost $29.95 ea. Total $299.95.

PROGRAM

Maurice Raymond presented “The Odyssey of the Erie Canal”.  The tour was hosted by Blount Small Ship Adventures   The Blount Yard was stated in 1949 by Luther Blount after graduating from Wentworth Institute. 

The tour began ion Warren RI, cruised down Long Island Sound, thru The Hells Gate, down The East River, around lower Manhattan, up The Hudson with a stop at West Point. Then to Albany up the Mohawk River into The Erie Canal to Lake Ontario.  On the lake to The Welland Canal, around the falls, to Lake Erie with a stop in Cleveland.

On Lake Erie to Wyandotte, MI with a stop at Greenfield Village and the Ford Museum. Then they cruised Lake Huron to Mackinac Island, with a wonderful stay on the Island at The Grand Hotel.  No vehicles on The Island all horse drawn carriages, some 500 horses

They cruised under the Mackinac Bridge into Lake Michigan to Chicago, IL a great trip ending by flying home.
