L-R: Emma Sked, Josh Palko and Thomas O'Connell

Old Saybrook,  Josh Palko's teacher, Gene Bukowski, says the selection of Josh was a no brainer! Extremely hard working, he works all sides of a problem until it is solved. Josh may be attending 3 Rivers Community College then decide on future schooling but he hasn't decided yet.

Westbrook,  Thomas O'Connell is a quiet unassuming person who excels at his work. He is always ready to help out whenever needed. After making a beautiful humidor, he has gone on to working on a Boston Whaler boat including the engine. Thomas plans on attending trade school because he loves working with his hands.

Lyme/Old Lyme.  Emma Sked's passion is video production. Her teacher, Bill Derry has had Emma in his class for 2 years. She has created a video about Amnesty International, an organization she has worked in as well as a production called "Kindness" a video about her grandmother - a video her family will treasure. Emma has thoughts of video work in capacity as a director.

Following SOM, we had a business meeting. Gerri passed out spreadsheets of the club's financials showing income and expenditures. While our finances remain strong, there is some concern about the most recent trend of paying out more than we take in which will affect the foundation. At the end of the year, we will have to revisit the budget and make some changes accordingly.

Meeting was adjourned, the Foundation Board met right afterwards.
