Awards from our District 2025

Award Recognition Event
The Old Saybrook Rotary Club, serving the towns of Lyme/Old Lyme, Old Saybrook and Westbrook, received high honors at the recent Rotary District 7980 Conference held in Southbridge, MA. Past-Club President Nancy Morin proudly accepted 3 prestigious awards on behalf of the organization, recognizing its revitalization, visibility and impact. The awards included the following:

1. Phoenix Rising Star Award that celebrates exceptional club growth through expanded membership, energized service, enhanced public image, and dynamic leadership in Rotary initiatives.
2. Outstanding Public Image Impact Award that honors powerful storytelling and visibility that elevates Rotary’s presence within the community.
3. Governor’s Achievement Award of Excellence that acknowledges exemplary efforts in advancing Rotary’s mission by
   strengthening communities, championing peace, empowering youth, engaging residents, support the Rotary Foundation, and inspiring lasting change.
4. The Club was also nominated for Certificates of Distinction in the following categories: Community Service, Opus for Peace, and Youth Service.
