Announcements:
Wine & Beer Tasting Event on April 12, 2024: Marty distributed “Event Packets” to everyone. The packets included all the information you need to know about the Wine Tasting Event. Marty reviewed the most important steps to follow in order to run a successful event. Included in the packet were six tickets to sell. If you need more tickets or did not get a packet, see Marty.
New Member Orientation/Workshop was held on 1/8/24 at the Acton Library: Nancy reported that the workshop was a great success and was attended by a mix of new members and seasoned veterans. Discussions included: ways to get involved, fundraisers, and accessing Rotary Websites.
Annual Shredding Day is on April 20, 2024: John A confirmed the date and reported that the “Shredding Source” will provide the on-site shredding truck. The event will run from 9:00am until noon.
The Rotary Day of Service will take place in May and will focus on Mental Health. We will be discussing the Club’s involvement at the next meeting.
SCORE is the nation’s largest network of volunteer, expert business mentors, dedicated to helping small businesses get off the ground and grow. O.S. Rotary voted to contribute $500 to help fund business workshops.
The newly established Grants Committee will hold its first meeting on 1/18. If interested in joining, contact Nancy.
