Westbrook High School: Reilly Peterson
Principal, Tara Winch, and Teacher, Mark McCray, described Reilly as a student with a big heart and a generous spirit. In fact, he is known for asking the same question on a daily basis, “Do you need a hand?” While being a multisport athlete, he somehow finds the time to participate in the school plays and musicals. He has an infectious energy level which is present in and out of the classroom. Reilly has recently set the school record for squat weightlifting at 410 pounds! After graduation, he is planning to go backpacking in Europe for four months. Upon his return, he plans on becoming a full-time contractor.

Lyme/Old Lyme High School: Gesami Vazquez
Assistant Principal, Ms. Manfredi, and Teacher, Philip Cohen (a former SOM), described Ges as a student who is “ready to attack the world!” She is known for her joy for learning and for her involvement in extracurricular activities including the Spanish National Honor Society, the Environmental Club, track and cross country teams, and coaching younger students.  Ges commits to the success of the group rather than her individual success. Ges plans on attending Springfield College majoring in PE and Health with the goal of becoming a teacher.

Avery was not able to attend and will receive her award at a later date.
