THE FOUR WAY TEST of the things we think, say, or do.
Is it the TRUTH?
Is it FAIR to all concerned?

PROGRAM    World Affairs Seminar Students

Amber and Bill McL began the program with a short history of The Rotary Club of Old Saybrook’ s involvement in the World Affairs Seminar (WAS). We began sending students in the mid-nineties. First to The University of Wisconsin, Whitewater, then to Carroll College, later Carrol University, Waukesha, WI.

Amber introduced the three students. Talia Bauer Old Saybrook High School, Karl Shilling Westbrook High School, and Sophie Pennie, Lyme-Old Lyme High School.

All three students participated in presenting a well-prepared review of their week at the seminar. Their days were filled with activities, morning to evening.

Each day a renowned speaker addressed the students covering a variety of topics. One speaker was the head of the elections commission for the State of Wisconsin.

Talia, Karl, and Sophie, all spoke about having a wonderful life changing experience at the World Affairs Seminar.
