Announcements:
Amber Sherber, a teacher at Old Saybrook HS asked the clubs support for sending 10 students to Honduras to study marine life and biodiversity. Some species are declining while others are re-establishing. The students will be scuba certified. This trip takes place June-July.

Marty & Gerri talked about the Feb. 10 Wine and Beer Tasting & Silent Auction, a major fundraiser for the club foundation. Selling tickets and obtaining items for the auction are keys to success. The venue is Saybrook Point Inn, a real selling point! We are working on getting the dance studio back for another presentation. Carroll Bowser, Bill O'Shaughnessy and Donna Lash will coordinate the item donation effort. Gerri will organize the items and tables. Turn ticket sales in to Marty. Its important the entire club participate to help make the event a success. Information is available on this website in the members section. A flyer is also available for all to see as well in the Activities section.

Joan Camire talked about our clubs participation in Sail Connecticut, an organization that brings the sailing experience to the handicapped. Working with the Madison club, it is our intention to grow the donation with matching funds from the district.

John Donnelly announced that on Jan. 20, there will be a special meeting of the area clubs at Camp Hazen. Please save your books and soap for Ghana!

Brent: Golf Tournament is May 24 but lets get thru the Wine Tasting first!
