YMCA today has 2,617 chapters with 1/2 million volunteers, Valley Shore Y M C A (VSY) 8,600 members. Although VSY added a 2nd pool in 2001 the main focus is child care. "Healthy Kids Day" attracted 1,000 families to VSY.VSY" Annual golf tournament and their "Symphony on the Sound" event helped make possible the distribution of approximately $100,000 to focus on current and future needs of the Valley Shore.
