Reports
Bill Burnhart gave a detailed report on the
Community Outreach Program. To date, since the inception of Outreach, our club has dispened over $37,000 to those in need from the 3 towns we serve. Its an open committee and anyone is welcome to join. We are dependent on receiving referrals from social workers and school officials from the towns. Because personnel changes, we must continue to spread the word on the Outreach program. Bill Suits also commented that leads are welcome from club members as well. So far for the fiscal year 2010, $15,000 has been budgeted and $4,549.59 has been disbursed. Please see the the Community Outreach area of this website under CLUB ACTIVITIES. Pictured is Bill Suits, the person responsible for starting the Outreach Committee.
Walter Osborne gave a report on the Warm the Children program. Walter thanked the shoppers who give of their time to take children shopping for winter clothing. Normally, the committee's work would be finished now but there are two more families to do. This program has served 129 families and 303 children. This is up from last year (119 families, 245 children). Money is still coming in so the final figures aren't yet available. Additional funds from the club will not be necessary.
