Announcements:
1) Congratulations to Bob Hale on being selected "High School
Principal of the Year" by the CT Association of Schools
2) 4 Students are going to RYLA in Stratford this weekend. Bob Hester
has volunteered to drive them.
3) Gerri is off to Nashua, NH for the PETS training this weekend.
4) Bill O. was to meet up with President Carl-Wilhelm Stenhammar last
Wednesday, I'm sure he'll give us an update on the 15th.
5) Saturday March 18th is the Rotary Leadership Institute Conference
for incoming officers at Connecticut College in New London.
6) Thursday April 6th is the District Assembly, open to all members.
Students of the Month - Technology:
Old Saybrook: Tom Rochette recieved the award and was introduced by
Eric Rice, his teacher. Tom is the first student to complete the
entire engineering series of courses at Old Saybrook High. He is also
acive on the soccer team and with the Fire Department.
Westbrook: Mr. Anderson introduced John Cole. John has excelled at
engineering and metalworking. He recently designed and built a solar-
powered water heater. Tom will be going to UCONN to major in
engineering.
Old Lyme: Jan Guarino-Rhone and John Burns introduced Steven
Hackett. Steven produces the schools daily TV News show. He is a
junior and is considering a career in broadcast journalism.
