P/P Gerri spoke about the Interact project that the students were doing. She also mentioned the Memorial Day Parade, assemble 8:30 to 9:30 at Stop and Shop parking lot and Parade to start at 10. We will all be there to see the parade, I hope. (ed)
Our program today was with Chief of Police Michaal Spera and Detective Sam Barnes. Officer Barnes brought us update on the Amber Alert program and the equipment that the program generates. Also showed us the camera and card making machine that the Club helped to pay for last year. Chief Spera spoke to us futher about the program and the possible of a Silver Alert for us OLD FOLKS. Not a bad idea.(ed). Then the subject of the new (possible) police headquarters was brought up. The buillding from his description, is a disaster. Floor crack in the basement, one wall pulled way from the floor and water still running on the floor as of this date. The 5M mentioned in the paper is not a true figure as to what will be needed for a new quarters. There are no estimates yet, so sit tight for now.
