Program:  Rick Beck gave an interesting and informative, illustrated presentation on his
hobby of model railroading.  His other hobbies are golf and boating.  His interest in model
railroading started when he was given a Lionel Train set at age 3.  As he grew older he
become more interested in HO guage trains and sold his Lionel set to  friend.  HO guage
is 1" to 87" scale.  A very memorable incident happened when he was 6 and had an
opportunity to ride on the 20th Century Limited to Albany in the locomotive sitting on the
engineers lap.  He was even allowed to blow the whistle at crossing.  Over time he's had
9 different model setups, one was attended by a Florida train enthusiasts club who came
to his condo in a bus.  When he moved back to CT, his train setups filled 70 boxes.  His
latest setup is an elaborate replica of an actual town, with a mining operation, freight
yard, every type of town building you can think of, landscaping with mountains, streams
and trees.  Some of the scenary he made, some purchased and some much sought after
by railroad enthusiasts.  Rick offered to show, and let you play with his setup at any time,
    just give him a call.
