President Gerri greeted 37 O.S. Rotarians and their spouses for a delightful 2 hour cruise up the CT River to Gillette Castle and return. The weather was great, the company superb and the food was delicious! Many thanks to the Rotarian famillies that provided the desserts. The scenery was spectacular and very interesting. The cruise up Selden Creek past the nature preserves was very enlightening. Most of us didn't know we have fresh water rice growing in this section of the river. There was one false sighting of an eagle but that didn't diminish everyones enjoyment. It was a great idea, lots of fun and great camaraderie. Our thanks to the organizers!
