Originally operated from the Connecticut river Museum dock in Essex, now run out of the dock in East Haddam. Much of what they do is education catering to school children in the area, showing them the variety of wild life on the River.
The "River Quest" was originally a 54' boat. With alterations now a 64" unit and can handle up to 65 people for tours, parties, etc. Recently they purchased a derelict boat and completely refurbished the craft. The new unit can carry up to 35 people. they now operate 2 tour boats.
Schedule February begins the eagle watch cruises and they continue through March & April  May brings private charters, June, July , and August, daily cruises 1to1-1/2 hours long viewing the beautiful sunsets on the river.September they run leaf viewing and bird watching cruises. On Goose Island just North of the Bridge there can be 500,000 tree swallows landing and flying, quite a sight.
Eagle watching very popular some 1,900 passengers last year, with 3 - 4 trips a day in season.  There are 3 eagles nest along the River, one in East Haddam near the airport]. another on Knotts Island, and another in the Lieutenant River
Crusies cost $40.00 per person for bird watch and $20.00/$15.00 adult/children for regular tours.

"Warm The Children"  has need for shoppers, and media help. Contact Walter or Jason.
