Happy Bucks: Many Bucks and prayers were for Bob Antoniac who is undergoing leg surgery on Thursday. For the morning meeting so that we get to visit with Kathy C, for the daylight hours increasing, the Wine Tasting/Auction Event on March 3rd, John A’s recovery from recent hip replacement surgery.
Pat’s Updates: The Interact Clubs from Old Saybrook High School and Westbrook High School will be brain storming ideas about activities/projects for The Day of Service to be held on 5/20/23. The Club has made donations to two international projects this year: $7,500 to the Well Project in Uganda and $2,500 to the Library-Literacy Project in Ghana. Pat read a thank you note from Anna Davis, a recent Student of the Month in Science.
Wine Tasting 3/3/23: Marty reported we are halfway to our sponsors/auction items for this year’s event. Big push – only one month to go. Sell those tickets!! This year’s theme will be St. Patrick’s Day.
Announcements:
- Charlie R will begin to organize this year’s Golf Outing. A discussion about significant price increases by Fox Hopyard took place and options will be explored.
- Joan Winters is the new Membership Chair.
- The Outreach Committee will present their ideas as to where to donate the remaining ARPA Grant Funds.
- Ideas for speakers should be forwarded to Bill M.
