Before joining SCORE, Tony worked for AT&T for 47 years. He now helps SCORE as a fundraiser, producing “Broadway style” concerts. SCORE is the nation’s largest network of volunteer business mentors. In 2020/2021 SCORE helped people start 45,000 businesses, creating 74,500 additional non-owner jobs. SCORE provides training, coaching, and business tools to help small businesses and entrepreneurs to succeed. All services are free of charge. Locally, the Southeastern Connecticut Chapter hosts more than 50 workshops and special events each year. SCORE mentors bring real world business experience to each workshop. They are working and retired business owners, executives, and managers who have been through the same challenges and decisions that many entrepreneurs are facing today. All SCORE volunteers receive specialized training offered by the association and are certified in mentoring methodology. SCORE offers sponsorships for the many workshops conducted each year.
