Today was the 5th Wednesday and that means a social meeting. No formal agenda, just a time for fellowship and yes a few items to discuss. Coastline Brewery is an excellent venue - a great place to relax with friends and enjoy their fresh brews and great food!
Marty reported on the success of our Wine & Beer Tasting and Silent Auction and thanked the many club members who went above and beyond including Shireen and Pam who coordinated the decorating of the venue. Results have been posted in the Directory area of this website (password protected).
We have a date for next year which is Friday April 9, 2027.
John reported a new high water mark for Shredding Event which netted over $4,000. We filled the truck while handling a steady flow of cars. Afterwards, all the boxes collected which were knocked down and loaded into vans and pickup trucks were taken to the transfer station. It was a fun day and another example of Rotary in Action!
The next Shredding Day is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 26, 2026.
Jan wanted to recognize the club for all we do. Literacy, an initiative for Jan's year as President will be the focus of our Epic Day of Service which is May 16 and led by Joan Winters.
