President’s Report:
Presenter-Lucille Pelletier from Impact 100 a nonprofit women’s organization that raises money for $1,000 grants to give to organizations that benefit those in need. Lucille has been hard at work getting this off the ground and is making progress. Individual women donate $1000 which gives them 1 vote on what to support. Grants are awarded $100,000 at a time that are transformational to their communities.

Golf Tournament Donations-We need raffle items for the Golf Tournament. Please think about donation items that golfers would be interested in winning.

Golf Tournament (Charlie Renshaw): The OS Rotary Golf Tournament is Monday, September 8th. The brochures have been distributed. Please use the QR Code for more information. We need Sponsors, Golfers (at least 18 foursomes), and volunteers. There are 2 Volunteer time slots-:11:30 A.M.-12:30 P.M. for Registration and Witnesses for the 2 Hole in One Sites.
*Golfers will also be receiving Gift Ditty Bags.
Marty has asked that all Rotarians please respond to the survey regarding meeting times, venues and the pricing. Deadline to respond is Monday 7/21.

*Martha Rothchild: The 2025 Walk to End Alzheimer’s is Saturday, September 27th at Ocean Beach Park, 98 Neptune Ave, New London. If you have any questions or would like to be part of the Old Saybrook Rotary Team contact Martha:

*John A. –Shredding Event is Saturday, September 27th. There are enough Rotarians to attend both events that day.
*Joan-Concerts on the Green: Coast Guard Band July 23rd-No advertised collection, July 30th Rotary Social on the Green. Flood Relief (hoping to cut a check by August 1st), and Food Drives.
Jan Perruccio reported on the Purpose and Action Plan. Prioritizing action items we should be doing first in regard to Food Insecurity and Literacy. Groups worked on this for about ten minutes. We will revisit this at the next business meeting.
