GUEST SPEAKER   Heather Milardo Estuary Council of Seniors

The new brand is “Estuary” @ www.estuary.org. All activities are a go, with the Open House scheduled for Saturday September 18, 2021 12-4 PM.

The “Wellness Park” is well under way with parts of the park usable now. With a completion date of February 2022. The focus of The Park is to get folks outdoors and active. Accessibility has been improved, new board walk and outdoor fitness center.

Q & A Bench sponsor available $2,000.00 per bench, board walk plaques $200.00 each.

Plan on visiting the Estuary and taking advantage of all that is going on.

PRESIDENT’S UPDATE

  • D G Jeff Krauss, The Rotary Club of Stratford, recovering may return Jan 2022.
  • Westbrook Foundation, Town of Westbrook, Ed’s Place, and our Club are planning on a repeat of turkey dinners in November. We would be in for 25% of the cost.
  • We received a thank you note from The Estuary.

FUND RAISING

  • Golf Tourney.  Charlie Renshaw
  • Presently have 56 golfers
  • Flyers are out.
  • Need raffle prizes, ital.!!
  • Make plans to help in any way possible.

  • Think Golf!!!!

MAC DINNER    John Aforismo

  • Alert, a month to go before the event 10/17/21
  • Advertising in good shape, Harbor News, Shoreline Times, Events. etal.
  • Old Saybrook Chamber will do an e-mail blast prior to the dinner.
  • Poster need to be put up, need volunteers
  • Need an accurate count by 10/10/21 to shop for food.
  • Liberty Bank providing bags, Domino Pizza, parmesian cheese, Rosemary & Sage the knives forks and spoons.
  • Members already requesting additional tickets.

DICTIONARY PROJECT    Nancy Moran

  • Schools have been contacted and dictionaries ordered.
  • Time line for delivery early October.
