INDUCTION OF NEW MEMBER: Jan Perruccio
President Jan formally inducted Lucille Pelletier as a new member of The Rotary Club of Old Saybrook.
Jan reviewed the goal of Rotary, “Service Above Self,” with the Avenues of Service giving direction to our goal, and the Four Way Test as guiding principles.
John Giannini spoke about the reasons he nominated Lucille for membership. Lucille is a neighbor, a giving person, Impact 100 founder, involved in community, and a very willing worker. She will bring these attributes to “The Club.”
Jan reviewed the responsibility of being a member of Rotary International and presented Lucille with an information packet and a new member pin.
Jan invited all the members to stand and give a warm welcome to our new member, Lucille Pellitier
PROGRAM: District Governor Stephanie D. Philips
DG Stephanie called Past President Nancy Moran forward to receive the "International Club Excellence Award" from Stephanie Urchik, 2024 - 2025 International President, an honor that is directly from International Headquarters.
Next Stephanie presented a Presidents Certificate to Jan Perruccio.
RI theme “Food Insecurity and Literacy” all 11831 members of Rotary District 7980 working on this project.
Discussed “Meals on Wheels.” The Rotary Club of Old Saybrook is actively working on this.

Discussed growth with new members and retention of existing members. The Rotary Club of Old Saybrook is actively working on this.
Discussed offering a cash incentive to members to develop a new program or fundraiser. The Rotary Club of Old Saybrook is actively working on this.
Discussed “Polio Plus.” Polio is still a challenge; The Rotary Club of Old Saybrook is actively working on this through our Student of The Month.

Event, October 4 and 5, 2025. Menu is the same as last year, hot dogs, soda, chips. Work on the raffle of the E Bike. Tickets handed out, 5 tickets to sell at $20 each. Drawing Oct. 5 at the Town Hall

Golf Tourney, Charlie Renshaw
All had a great day, weather very nice. We had 79 golfers, 53 sponsors, and 16 members helped. Look to exceed the goal of $10,000.
