HAPPY BUCKS
All Happy Buck went to the Maui Fund. Everyone pitched in and $168.00 was raised to bring our fund to the $5,000.00 level. All were happy for the day and to be able to help Maui. Good Job.
PRESIDENT’S UPDATE
1.) MAUI RELIEF FUND RAISER Nancy Morin
A.) Presently have $4,900.00, including $1,000.00 from OSHS Interact.
B.) Need $100.00 to meet our goal of $5,00.00
C.) Collection taken of members raising $168.00 GOAL MET!
D.) We have $10,000.00 plus for Maui Relief. WELL, DONE!
2.) DISTRICT 7980 FOUNDATION Nancy Morin
A.) 7980 Foundation Meeting was held at Saybrook Point Inn Sunday Nov 5, 2023
B.) Several Rotary Clubs had display tables describing their activities.
C.) A review of our participation in EREY, Polio Plus giving, Foundation Giving.
D.) Every Member Every Year Club, (EREY) $25.00 minimum donation with a total of $100.00 per member per year.
E.) END POLIO NOW requires a donation of $1,500.00 per Club per year. We are giving $1,350.00 now a vote taken to add $150.00 to make our Club eligible.
3.) TORCHLIGHT PARADE Marty Drobriaz
A.) Parade is Saturday December 9,2023 6:00 PM
B.) Marty has talked with Chris Reed and he will be donating cups, napkins and hot chocolate as he has in the past. Chris also takes care of the tent
C.) John Giannini and Pete Zucco in charge of hot chocolate.
D.) Gary McCauley handling baked goods donations. There are lots of stops to make to pick up the baked goods so please let Gary know if you help with the pickups. Delivery is to Marty's office by 12 or to the tent on the green at 5pm
E.) Make plans to volunteer at the tent. Great event.
4.) OLD SAYBROOK STREET PARTY Alan Schwarz
A.) Date June 6,2024 - $75.00 entry fee.
B.) Scott Haney recognized for 25 years with the weather forecast at WFSB-3
5.) TURKEY DRIVE Nancy Morin
Our Club donated $1,500.00 with 25% match from Liberty Bank for a total of $1,875.00. The grand total from Liberty will be $735,000.

A.) Polar Express was a success, thanks to The Club’s $1,000.00 donation.
B.) 32 youngsters rode the train with Santa and Elf’s
C.) After the ride they returned to the wheelhouse where they received a NEW BICYCLE, a helmet, and a new jacket
