The DMG for the laptop computers for the Acton Library has been implemented. Safe Futures is very thankful for the Club’s generous donation. We submitted an application to GSB for their continued sponsorship of our  Wine&Beer Tasting and Silent Auction.

Program: Diana DeLisa, Old Saybrook Garden Club
Diana was unable to attend the meeting. Our own Gail Fahey, and Garden Club member, stepped up and delivered an awesome presentation. The OSGC began in 1952 with 8 members and has grown to 42 members. The club’s major, and most apparent, responsibility is planting and maintaining Main Street’s 23 median gardens. In addition to these gardens, the club also plants and maintains the Constitution Garden and the gardens at the firehouse, Acton Library, and the Police Station. Twenty to thirty plants are needed for each of these gardens. The cost for materials and plants is addressed through donations, OSGC dues, $100 sponsorships, and the important May Market Fundraiser. You are encouraged to visit the club’s Facebook page for further information and a photo library. After a Q&A period, the Rotary Club voted to donate $1,000 to help defray the cost of next year’s gardens. Thank you, Garden Club, for making Main Street so beautiful! every year.
