Marty: The Wine Tasting tickets were distributed. Please report sales to Marty who will be tracking the tickets and progress. Color 11 x 17" posters were given to the Rotarians for disemination. Its time to go to work and make this the best year yet for the Wine Tasting!
Charlie Norz: The dictionaries and labels are ready to go. Following the meeting, Rotarians are asked to stay and get them ready. Here is the schedule for distribution of the dictionaries:
Wed, Oct. 20 9am St. Johns followed by Goodwin School
Thurs, Oct. 21 11am Westbrook followed by Lyme-Old Lyme
Students of the Month, English: Bill McLaughlin
Old Saybrook Award: Caroline Bruno, presented by Jean Proctor. Caroline is a talented poet and is editor of the high school literary magazine.
Westbrook Award: Katie Hollis, presented by Prin. Bob Hale. Katie is an excellent writer and speaker and is taking UCONN English
Old Lyme Award: Matt Searle, presented by Prin. Carrano. Matt is a top student who scored a perfect 800 on the SAT. He is a person of character and integrity.
