Happy Bucks: Many & varied. Wine Tasting, good time was had by all. Al L visited family in CA Mike V visited family in Atlanta Bill S and John D had a story some better than others. Rick B noted that there are 21 days remaining before the sun heads North.
Marty reported on the successful Wine Tasting fund raiser. Expect to net $9,000.00 +/- Marty thanked all who worked hard to make the event a success. 197 tickets were sold Good job Well done. Special note The Fred Astaire Dance group is offering a dance lesson program whereby a Rotarian can spend $10.00 receive 3 dance lessons and the $10.00 will be donated to The Foundation.
Liberty Bank and Rotary Turkey drive provided $847.00 for The Rotary club of Old Saybrook. The money was divided $350.00 to Old Saybrook Youth and Family, $300.00 Westbrook Youth and Family and $197 to the soup kitchen Old Lyme Congregational Church.
Proposal made by Bill O'S to try and secure a matching grant from District for $1,500.00 for the Shoreline Soup Kitchen, with a potential match from Gowrie, Barden & Brett, Inc. to end with $6,000.00 All vote yes. Bill will proceed.
Torch Light Parade Saturday December 11. All interested in helping with serving hot chocolate meet at 5:00 PM Town Green.
