Peter Knox thanked all who helped with the Torchlite Parade Refreshment Tent. Helping this year were Gerri, Bill Suits, Brent, Stan, Bob H, Ken, Bill B., Mike, and Marty.Thanks to Saybrook Convalescent and the vendors who supplied the refreshments we served. Approx. 500 people were served and it went very well.
Mike Velgouse reminded everyone to get their RI contributions in by the end of the year if you intend to take advantage of the charitable contribution write-off for 2006.
Gerri read a letter from the Interact Club which said their account was up from their flower sales fundraiser and they were busy collecting gifts for Youth & Family Services. Thanks to John Donnelly for supervising. John suggested we work with the Interact kids on their shoe campaign - a good joint endeavor.
