Principal Barton thanked The Rotary Club of Old Saybrook for the ir involvement with Old Saybrook High School, Student of the Month program, Interact, etal. The Interact Club is the largest Club in the school and very active under the leadership of Amber Sherber. Good job.
Oliver commented that the exposure of the students to successful business people in Rotary was a very positive influence.
One focus of the school curriculum helps students take in and make sense of the vast amount of information available.
The school body is very active, with over 200 students involved in the music program, and 200 + in sports, with a student body of 530, terrific.
Two-thirds of the students take college courses for credit and CAP scores rank among the highest in the State. The system is working on improving an on line studies program.
A project for The Rotary Club of Old Saybrook may well be the walk to school program.
THE FOUR WAY TEST of the things we say and do
1.) Is it the TRUTH
2.) Is it FAIR to all concerned
3.) Will it build GOODWILL & BETTER FRIENDSHIPS
4.) Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned.
