Happy $s:  David Wight gave $5 for his wife Bobby's successful cancer surgery, many more
                for David's wife and the students being honored, Bill O'Shaugnessy for a successful
                Westbrook H.S. Sr. Ball at Water's Edge, Mike Velgouse for Huskies bowl win, Matt
                Rubin for Steinbrenner not making the Hall of Fame (sad $), John Donnelly read a 
                note written by the New Britain H.S. student killed in a car accident describing his
                honor for being chosen Student of the Month in New Britain.
Student of the Month ; Social Studies:  Presented by Bill McLaughlin.
    Westbrook - Teacher Derek Hanson presented Westbrook's winner Chris Marino.  Chris
                is in the National Honor Society, has honors in science, active in his church and 
                Boy Scouts (he'll be completing his badges for Eagle Scout shortly).  He plans
                to go to UCONN with a major in History.
    Old Saybrook - Principal Barton presented Shane Olsen.  Shane is following a 
                phychology major and is applying to Sacred Heart University
    Old Lyme - Teacher Emily Kelly presented Patrick Cole. Patrick is co-captain of the soccer        
                team which has a 16-0 season.  He is in the National Honor Society and will attend
                either the Coast Guard Academy, Providence College or Cornell.
    Congratulations to these fine young men!
Announcements:
    
There will be no morning meeting next week, 12/15.  Our Christmas dinner meeting will be
        held that night at Water's Edge starting at 6 PM.  Three choices for dinner are 
        available at a cost of $35.  Contact Gerri if you haven't signed up and plan to come.
    President Joan announced there will be no meeting on Wednesday 12/29.
    Marty Drobiarz announced the Torchlight Parade is this Saturday evening.  We'll be 
        serving hot chocolate and donuts as usual.  Contact Marty will any questions on
        assignments and schedule.
