Our club made a $500 contribution to Youth & Family Services at our holiday party

Jess Wenzel reported on the status of our club finances. Our investments are doing well estimated at 13%. Jess is awaiting the scholarship bills from Ron Scott.
Program - Ran King
Ran introduced our speaker Kathy David, the director of the Marine Education Network (MEN) on Ferry Rd. Established in 1999, MEN is a non-profit organization engaged in promoting environmental awareness, personal growth and historical perspective through education in and interaction with marine science, sailing, technology, and the exploration of Long Island Sound and its watershed. MEN is supported by interdistrict grant funds and has programs for grades K thru 12 as well as adult education programs.
Programs include
Marine Discovery Program (For students in grades one through four)
Sound Connections (On Water Programming for students in grades 5-8)
Boats, Beaches & Aquariums (An environmental group for students in grades 8-12)
Boat Building Internships (for Middle and High School students)
Adult Family and Community Education such as Kayak building and learning to set up a salt water aquarium
