Announcements:
Charlie announced an opening on the Bd. of Directors of the OS Ambulance. They meet once a month and the position is for the secretary.
Brent announced he is going to press with the brochure/application for the golf tournament. He is thinking about placing a thank you ad for last years supporters.
Peter Manley will be attending the PETS conference this weekend. It is boot camp for upcoming club presidents.
Gerri received a thank you note from the students who attended the New Generation Conference.

STUDENTS OF THE MONTH: Joe Fedorich
DARE PROGRAM
Officers Sam Barnes, Ken Roche, Ryan Walsh and Chris Olsen were in attendence and spoke about what they do and the program in general. The pilot program started in 1986 and has been a great success. DARE teaches the kids to make good decisions and that there are consequences to poor decisions. Today, kids engage in riskier behavior at a younger age. Parenting problems and other societal issues contribute to this state of affairs. The police departments are very much engaged with our youth and this is a big reason Old Saybrook was just voted one of the 100 best communities in the country for youth.
At the end of the program, President Gerri and President-Elect Peter presented checks to the officers for the DARE programs.
