school break.
We will be hosting the O.S. Chamber of Commerce with a wine & snack reception
at the Pavilion on Thursday, May 6th from 5:30 to 7PM. Bill O'Shaughnessy is
coordinating the affair and would like as many members in attendance as possible.
There will be a board meeting Thursday, April 22nd at the Library at 5:15PM.
We're planning another, and maybe the last, Plum Island trip. This is a very secure
site but will be closing down soon. This will be the club's 3rd trip, very interesting!
The trip is planned for Friday, July 9th, leaving Harbor 1 marina at 7:45, returning
mid afternoon. Ed Pinn is coordinating the signups and has information. Members
planning to attend should give Ed the following information, in a sealed envelope:
Name, address, date of birth, SS#, and bring a photo ID.
Judy Frederick there was going to be an open house at Gladeview Home on May 5th
at 4:30. Everyone is welcome, especially those identified in the lst few meetings.
Brent discussed our coming golf tourney. Brochures are ready, team pictures are
being mailed out and teams have been set up. Sandy also has sent a donor list
for everyone to access. Brent indicated that the golfers basically pay for all
the expenses of the tourney and the tee box, greens signs and the raffle are our
profit for the scholarship fund, VERY IMPORTANT! Marty is coordinating the
volunteer activity again, see him for an assignment if you're not playing. Ditty
bags will be put together the Wednesday before the tourney, May 26th.
