Announcements by President Paul:

The Memorial Day Parade is schedule for May 28th.  The club will march with Marty
organizing the activity.  More to come when Marty returns.
The District is organizing a trip to the Rock Cats game in New Britain for May 4th.  The
price is $20.  More info and a sign up for interested Rotarians in next few weeks.
The local Boy Scouts council is hosting international scouts for their summer camps,
they're asking for donations to help defray the travel costs.
Business Meeting, treasurers report by Dave Wight:
Dave reviewed the spread sheets on the club and foundation accounts.  There were no
questions.  He also talked about the foundation investments with Essex Financial.
Current month data had just come in and was not included in the spreadsheet.  It was
discussed that we receive between $16-21K return on our investments.  Essex has
changed some funds to allow for better returns.  With interest rates so low, the income
production of our portfolio is a lot lower than usual.
Golf Tournament:  Brent indicated he has golf brochures, posters and team sheets for
distribution.  Sponsor and donor letters are on our site on the internet.  Returns are
coming in very slowly and the golfer signup is also slow.  Last year's golf team pictures
will be going out the end of this week.  We need more teams as well as green and t-box
sponsors.  Some of our major donors have not come forward as yet.  Brent also indicated
that we also need ditty bag 'stuff'.  Some of our supply sources have dried up.  Come
forward with ideas to Brent on this.
Chamber Function on June 1st:  Bill O'Shaugnessy indicated they could use some help
in the setup for this meeting.  Bill will have more details in the coming weeks.

First...
Is it the TRUTH ?
Second....
Is it FAIR to all concerned?

Will it build GOOD WILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?
Fourth....
Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?
