Announcements:
President Keith received a thanks you note from Student of the Month,  Sean Flaherty.
Andy states that the O.S. Police Department won't do fill in's for our Meals on Wheel on
conflict days.  Several membes were upset, but President Keith and Andy plan to
meet with Chief Spera to discuss.
Our exchange student is doing well in school and in his swimming competition.  He is
looking forward to going back home after the school year, understandably.
Board Meeting Notes:  We've been asked if we'd like to serve light refreshments
at a Historic Society affair this summer.  The Chamber has also asked us if we can
offer some healthy fare at our food both at the art show.  Ideas have been, cut up
fruit and maybe yogurt, any other comments?
John Donnelly mentioned we now have $17,000 in total funds in association with our
matching grant application for the school in Ghana. This would drill wells, buy books
and other supplies for the school.  John is heading up the project and will travel to
Ghana to oversee the spending of the funds.  Remember, the club only put up an
initial $3500 to start this project, all other monies are matching grant monies.  A
very good return for a humanitarian project.  Good work John!
Ed Pinn announced that anyone interested in the July 9th trip to Plum Island needs
to get the 'envelope' with enclosed SS # card inside, to him next Wednesday.  You
also have to bring along a photo ID and a lunch on the trip.  See Ed for any further
    questions.
Brent & Sandy Taylor talked about the slow returns for the golf tourney next week!
The golfer field is slowly filling up, we need 120.  Donations and sponser monies are
slow coming in.  Last year's gross returns were $45K, to date we have only
$25-26K.  We all have to get cracking.  Next week Wednesday we stuff ditty
bags and go over final assignments.
Bill O'Shaunessy handed out lists of Chamber members to contact for
sponserships.  Let's all follow up on these and support our scholarship fund.
