Bill Bernhart reminded everyone about the Chester Clubs Lobster Fest on 9/11. This is a great fundraiser the Chester Club has done for years..lets support it, Bill is selling tickets.

Treasurer's Report: Paul Moore
Paul handed out spreadsheets showing income and expenditures for the club and Foundation. Paul has a couple of bills to pay and there is still some money due from the golf tournament. Sadly, one of our scholarship recipients has been disqualified from receiving more scholarship money due to falling below a 3.0 gpa. The club's investments appear to be holding steady.

October 2 Fundraiser
Pres. Joan Camire talked about a new program provided by the Valley Shore YMCA in conjunction with the Lance Armstrong Foundation that benefits cancer survivors. Its a 12 week program that is free to the participant and helps move the individual back to physical healing and strength. This program is unique and the Y receives some support from the United Way and Middlesex Hospital. The Y is also planning its own fundraiser and the club is taking part. On Sat. Oct. 2, there will be a 50K bike ride, a 5K bike ride and a 1K walk. Our club will sell hot dogs and cold drinks at the Fort area. Registration is at 9am. This will provide the club with some needed revenues while helping out with the event - a win-win.
The meeting was ended with the 4-way test.
